The 14th seminar of the AFRICAN NUTRITION LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME (ANLP)

to be held in SOUTH AFRICA 8 - 18 March 2016

 

 

 What is the ANLP?

The African Nutrition Leadership Programme (ANLP) is a leadership development and networking seminar aimed at developing leadership capabilities of future leaders in the field of human nutrition in Africa.  Emphasis is placed on understanding the qualities and skills of leaders, team building, communication and transformational leadership in a broader context.  In addition we also focus on gaining a better understanding the role of personal leadership in science and practice on nutrition in the world around us.

The fourteenth of a series of seminars of the ANLP will run in South Africa, 8 - 18 March 2016.

 

Who is the ANLP aimed at

The programme is designed for individuals who have experience in various fields of nutrition. Preference will be given to applicants with an advanced degree, postdoctoral fellows and candidates with comparable working experience in the broader human nutrition sciences, studying or working in Africa. We are also actively seeking applications from participants who are from francophone and lusophone countries.

 

Fellowships:

The ANLP organization tries to provide a number of partial course fee grants to participants.

Applicants from the following countries can (and are required) to apply online for a Netherlands Fellowship Programme fellowship (see Fellowship section for more information):

The countries have been classified into two categories. Category I countries are priority countries and will receive more fellowships.

Category I

Mali, Mozambique, Benin, Nigeria, Burundi, Rwanda, Djibouti, Somalia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Ghana, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya

Category II

Burkina Faso, Senegal, DR Congo, Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Those interested in applying for a course grant from the ANLP organization could apply in early January by sending a complete grant application form after being accepted for the ANLP and after the call for such grants have been made to successful applicants. Preference for course fee grants will be given to those applicants who can demonstrate that they have searched for other sources of funding as well.
